Additional Information: WOUNDED FIELDS was performed as an encore at the final concert of the Minnesota Orchestra’s European Tour in Sibelius Hall, Lahti, Finland. On that occasion, Music Director Osmo Vänskä made these dedicatory remarks before conducting the piece: “Ladies and Gentlemen, we would like to play the next piece for Ken and Judy Dayton. They have helped the Orchestra in so many ways and during so many years. Judy Dayton is here tonight, but unfortunately, Ken Dayton passed away last summer. So, this piece is for the memory of Ken.”
