Additional Details:Saint Francis (Dance for Community Joy) for carillon is dedicated to Richard Q. Elvee, the first full-time chaplain (1962-2000) of Christ Chapel at Gustavus Adolphus College. This piece is based on the Paul Granlund sculpture Saint Francis (1989), which resides on the south side of Christ Chapel, and the poem “Saint Francis and the Birds” by the Nobel Laureate poet Seamus Heaney.
