Additional Details: Luna Moth Matrix (Prelude to Renewal) for carillon is dedicated to John C. Volin, 18th President of Gustavus Adolphus College. This piece is a set of variations based on the Paul Granlund sculpture Luna Moth Matrix (1980), which resides on the east side of Christ Chapel.

The order of variations is: Chrysalis (Variations 1-3), Cocoon, and Metamorphosis. Each variation represents a transformative moment in the life cycle of the Luna Moth,
and also acts as a metaphor for our journey towards renewal and liberation
