Instrumentation:

Instrumentation: solo cello, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets in B-flat, 2 bassoons, 2 horns in F, 2 trumpets in C, trombone, tuba, timpani, percussion, and strings.

Percussion requires 3 players and includes bass drum, Birdy Box, chimes, driftwood, glockenspiel, hand cymbals, ocean drum, snare drum, Starling Bird Call, stones, suspended cymbal, tambourine, tam-tam, temple blocks, Tibetan tingsha bells, waterphone, wood block, and xylophone.

Special percussion items: Birdy Box is available from Relaxound, and Starling Bird Call is listed as “Quelle est Belle” from QBC.
