Additional Information:

Mahmoud Shabestari (1288-1340) was one of the most celebrated Persian poets of the 14th century. He was born in the town of Shabestar near the Silk Road city of Tabriz, which is now located in Azerbaijan. His most famous work was Gulshan-I Raz (The Rose Garden of Secrets), written in rhyming couplets in 1311.
