These duets were written in Livingston, Montana at the home of Amy Roach during November 2023. But it was hearing Andrew Burgdorf’s new cello and enjoying Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms at chamber music parties in Sam Rudy’s Minneapolis home that inspired them. The title implies nothing more than a unity of easy-going movements in compound meter.
